Bastrop River RV Park has great things planned for our patrons starting with our controlled access security gates! Flop yourself into one of our 71 level RV sites and then pad on down to the river banks and introduce yourself. (I'll be the attractive fish wearing the straw hat.)
We currently have 30 and 50 amp hookups as well as the best bathhouse in Texas with hot showers and changing rooms! Our Clubhouse is up and running and ready for rallies! It has a full kitchen, large meeting room, restrooms and a gorgeous stone hearth. I can't wait to warm up my underbelly come winter! Sure beats a hollow log for atmosphere. The swimming pool and spa are ADA accessible (I prefer a mud bath m'self, but to each his own). Nestled near two large shade trees, the pool is 3-5 feet deep with a new restroom and shower for pool guests. You can enjoy our own River Walk and fishing pier, with large rocking chairs for relaxing and watching the river go by. My whiskers are a twitchin' at the thought of it! You can toss your line in from the river bank or from our fishing pier. (I'm a big proponent of "catch and release".)
I share the Colorado River with a few friends. These being the aggressive and wily Largemouth Bass, the Guadalupe Bass, pan fish, the Freshwater Drum, my cousin the Channel Catfish and my immediate family the Yellow Catfish (aka Flathead Catfish). We are a lively bunch and will keep you busy for hours while you attempt to lure us onto your hook.
While you're here might I recommend a visit to the Bastrop State Park, home of the "Lost Pines". This loblolly pine and hardwood forest is one of the most beautiful in all of Texas and covers approximately 70 square miles. Set out on foot for the 12 miles of well marked hiking trails or bicycle through the dense woodlands and spend the day in nature's living room.
